First Week

Good Afternoon Parents!
I have had the best week with your children this week! They are so smart, loving, and such a wonderful group to work with and learn from. Before we head out to enjoy our 3-day weekend, I just want to give you a little recap on our first week of school together. In class this week, we spent a lot of time getting to know each other, starting our school-wide Bulldozers planner, and beginning some reading/writing pieces.
Some fun activities that we were able to do together this week were creating some Bucket Fillers to write encouraging notes to one another or when we witnessed a friend showing one of the IB attitudes and/or learner profile attributes throughout the day. We also created artwork using geometry shapes and numbers that represent something meaningful to our lives. One last activity that we worked on this week was creating a "Writer's heart." We filled pieces of our hearts with words and pictures of things that are close to our hearts to use them as inspiration when we start writing in our journals.
