Stanford Week

Good Afternoon!

This week we started our last IB Planner (How the World Works) and will be using the IIM strategies to help us research, observe, predict, and measure all the different types of weather and how it affects living things and human activities. As we continue on with our planner and our IIM boards, I will share more with you.

Another unit that we started this week was our Poetry Unit. In this unit, we will be exploring all the different types of poetry, the characterisitics of poetry, and we will write our own anthology.

Upcoming Events:
Saturday May 4 - The Rockin' non Stoppin' Carnival from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Roberts
Please stop by our class carnival booth (Hoopla Game) throughout the day. I will be at the our class booth from 10:30 - 11:30, and then I will work a shift at the dunking booth from 11:30-11:40 (I'm splitting this shift with Coach Lytton, so he will go right before me)! Hope to see you all there!

Monday - Thursday, May 6 - 9th - Stanford Testing
We will be testing on a different subject every day! Please make sure your children get plenty of sleep this week!

Thursday May 9th - Auction Bowling Party
The Second Grade teachers will be taking two students from each of our classes who won the bid at the auction to our bowling party after school on Thursday (3:30 - 5:00 PM). I will meet you at the circle drive after our bowling party.
