Happy Mother's Day

Thank you so much for all your support this week as we were taking the Stanford Exams! It’s finally over. J  We will be having a relaxing day today  working on poetry and weather activities for our IB planner.

For the next two weeks, in the following subjects we will be working on…
Reading: Draw conclusions, sequence
Language Arts: Prepositions, commas
Math: Finding estimates for sums of money, calculate values of coin and bill combinations, making change by counting up, solve comparison number stories with money, practice trade-first subtraction algorithm, and find the total number of items in several equal groups by multiplying
Science: Trace the changes in position of an object over time & compare patterns of movement of objects (sliding, rolling, spinning), tracking moon phases, checking and tracking weather forecasts, using weather tools (thermometer/temperature & barometer/pressure), research causes of weather
Social Studies: How weather affects different groups of people

Please make sure that your child is wearing a red Roberts’ shirt for the field trip and that they have a sack lunch with them.
