Good Afternoon Parents,

With the school year almost coming to an end, I wanted to do something simple and fun each day for the students. Therefore, everyday in class (for the next 8 school days), the students will get a little surprise. Please do not tell your child what they will be doing each day. I will let them know what their next surprise is at the end of the school day prior to each new day.

Countdown to the end of the school year:
7 Days left (May 28^th) – Crazy socks day/ Work without your shoes on all day
6 Days Left (May 29^th) – Show and Tell ( Bring in one item from home to share with the class)
5 Days left (May 30^th) – Sit next to anyone you want for the entire day
4 Days left (May 31^st) – PJ Party (your child can also bring in a small pillow and a small stuffed animal)
3 Days left (June 3^rd) – Read your favorite picture book to the class (one book)
2 Days left (June 4^th) – Bring your favorite stuffed animal to school today
1 Day left (June 5^th) – Bring one board game to class today
Last day of school (June 6^th) – Sit anywhere you want in class (all day long)

Upcoming Events: Thursday May 30^th 6:30 PM – 2^nd grade performance
TBD – End of the year class party  

Thank you for a fantastic school year. I couldn’t have done it without all of your support and help. Thank you for all the wonderful gifts and encouraging emails throughout the school year. I feel so blessed to have had a chance to work with each one of your children this year. I am truly going to miss them very much. I wish I could keep them for just a bit longer, but they have grown so much and I know that they will be great in 3^rd grade.
