A special thank you to those of you who were were able to come out to Curriculum Night. If you were not able to make it, I sent all the handouts home with your child on Wednesday.
For the next two weeks, in the following subjects we will be working on:
Reading: Character and Setting, Main Idea
Language Arts: Predicates, consonat blends, personal narratives with a beginning, middle, and end.
Math: To make up, represent and solve addition and subtraction number stories. To review and apply strategies for addition and subtraction, and to practice addition and subtraction facts for sums and differences up to and including 10.
Science: Plan and conduct descriptive investigations using senses. Identify what a scientist is and explore what different scientist do. Investigate imprints and fossils and learn about life long ago.
Social Studies: Where we live, exploring different types of Communities.
Unit of Inquiry (IB): Hatching and cross-hatching technique, illustrations using tone, color, size and physical space, and exaggeratign features.
