International Festival

Good Morning Parents,

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We have a busy week at Roberts this week so please take a look at the following changes in the “upcoming events” section of this email. I look forward to conferencing with you about your child’s progress in school on Wednesday.

We are learning how to tell time using an analog and a digital clock.








Learning Objectives (for the next two weeks):
Language Arts- Singular and plural nouns that change spelling, possessive nouns
Reading- Cause and effect, compare and contrast
Math- Write money using dollar and cents notation, make change by counting up, show coin combinations for an amount, use strategies for making change, calculate coin amounts, create and solve number-change stories, use parts and total diagram,
Science- Researching polar habitats using IIM research method, food chains,  use research to create class project, environmental responsibility
Social Studies- Map skills, continent and oceans

Upcoming Events:
Wednesday, 10/30 Early Dismissal, 12:30; Parent-Teacher Conferences
Thursday, 10/31  Field Day 8:30-10:30 (No Halloween costumes. Athletic shoes are required)
Friday, 11/1  PTO Meeting, 8:10 am
Sunday, 11/3  Time Change-Fall back one hour
